Move the cyan paddle vertically, meet the ball away from its center, and use short dashes to rescue difficult returns.
Paddle Duel is an endless one-on-one arcade rally played across a neon court. You control the cyan paddle on the left while a responsive rival guards the opposite goal. The energy ball accelerates after successful returns, so a calm opening can become a demanding exchange. Each point immediately serves another ball; there is no start screen, timer, or fixed match ending. The round display records points won and lost while the score rewards the quality and length of each rally.
Hold Up or Down on a keyboard to move smoothly rather than stepping between fixed rows. The large touch arrows provide the same continuous motion on phones and tablets. Press Space or tap the lightning button to trigger a short dash; the burst is useful for recovery but lasts only a moment, so it cannot replace positioning. Your paddle remains inside the court automatically. Reset clears the current score, round record, and streak while preserving the best score stored in this browser.
Every clean return awards a base ten points, then adds a streak bonus that grows during the same exchange. Winning a point adds a larger one-hundred-and-twenty-point award and extends your rally rating. Missing the ball gives the rival one round point and resets the active streak, but the game continues with a fresh serve. The best score updates whenever the current total passes it. Ratings move from Rookie to Rally Pro and Arcade Ace as consecutive returns accumulate; they describe control under pressure rather than only the round score.
Watch the ball before chasing it. Its vertical direction changes at the top and bottom walls, so imagine the remaining path as a reflected line and move toward the future contact point. Meeting the ball near the paddle center produces a safer return; contacting above or below center adds a sharper angle that can pull the rival out of position. Save the dash for late corrections because holding it early can make you overshoot. During fast rallies, favor compact movements and let the rival commit before using an edge return.
Use one thumb for Up and Down and the other for Dash. Hold directions for smooth tracking. In landscape, use shorter holds because the court is wider. If your finger covers the ball, follow its bright trail toward the next bounce.
